• Newer air conditioners and heat pumps offer tremendous comfort. The Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating, (SEER), measures cooling performance, (the higher the rating, the more efficient the unit). Typically, older unit have a ratings of around 6 SEER, and newer units offer ratings of 13-18 SEER.
